Way overpriced! To start, I have a 2013 Fiat 500... nothing impressive. I took my Fiat to 4 N Auto today, 3-5-18 to install a Cabin Air Filter (I supplied), replace a headlight BULB, a sidelight BULB and 4 spark plugs they charged me $399.24! 1. For Headlight Bulb replacement: They charged $42.09 for a Sylvania 9012 Basic bulb (you can get at AutoZone for $22), and $3.64 for side bulb 2821 (you can get 2 for $4.99 at AutoZone... they didn't give me the extra one!) And then they charged $100 for Labor. I am a novice and I changed out all my bulbs in about 45 mins... all as in both headlights, tail lights, turn signals, daytime running lamps, and fog lights. $142.09 to replace two lightbulbs is ridiculous. 2. For Spark Plug Replacement: They charged $8.25 per spark plug 4983, total $33 (you can get for $4.66 at AutoZone) and $145 for Labor! Really? $178 to replace 4 spark plugs?! 3. For Cabin Air Filter replacement: I brought the filter with me, they charged me $50 to put it in the panel. I checked some labor estimate sites just to see if I was over reacting: I was charged $295.00 for Labor www.repairpriceestimate.com:, shows labor should be between $146 - $188 I was charged $97.42 in parts. I could've bought retail for $45.63 (plus had an extra 2821 bulb) so 113% mark up on parts. Total was $399.42 But should've been $191.63 - $233.63 which means I was over billed $165.61 - $207.61 Even Consumer Reports car repair estimates (https://www.consumerreports.org/cars/repair/estimate/) shows the range of prices of labor and parts should've been between $223-$277... so over billed $122.24 - $176.24 even by that site. I really cannot believe I was taken advantage of this badly. They were recommended to me by my normal mechanic who works on my Dodge and Toyota. If I wanted to get rooked this badly I would've used the dealership... next time I will. Not really, but I will find a trustworthy mechanic... I just won't be using this establishment.
